Practice
Creative Roots Counseling is an art therapy and clinical counseling private practice providing In-person and Telehealth services to individuals within the state of Wisconsin. The aim of this practice is to provide a safe space in which to curiously and compassionately engage with the therapeutic process, from the office to the comfort of your own home.
Services
I offer a variety of evidence-based counseling services, including art therapy, person centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative and mindfulness practices. I provide services for adolescents (13+) to adults, as well as support for LGBTQ+ individuals and families.
Approach
My theoretical framework is deeply rooted in the principles of client-centered therapy, providing clients with a warm, collaborative, and purposeful environment characterized by empathy, understanding, and acceptance. As a therapist, it is my duty to meet client’s where they are at by structuring interventions that are supportive to the needs and experiences of each client. My stance is always strength-based and will build upon what a client is already doing well, in order to cultivate advancement towards therapy goals.
About Me
My Background Experience
I am a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin. I have worked in a range of settings, from in home therapy services for children on the autism spectrum, art therapy groups for adults with disabilities and other chronic conditions, behavioral inpatient hospital settings with adolescents and adults, cancer supports to private practice counseling. In addition to my experience as a therapist, I have years of experience working in community based non-profit organizations. Each position has helped me to develop my understanding of how we as humans experience and process a range of events.

I started Creative Roots Counseling, LLC to foster as a space to explore your personal journey to help unlock patterns and past experiences, which will help you find a deeper connection with yourself. My hope is for clients to feel relaxed, validated, and equally involved in the therapeutic process (& not analyzed, picked apart, shamed, or judged).
Art Therapy
Art therapy engages the mind, body, and spirit in ways that are distinct from verbal expression alone. Our registered and board-certified art therapists facilitate individuals of all ages and abilities in the creative process, mindfulness, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques for an integrative approach to healing.
