INTRO

I know seeking therapy comes with a lot of unknowns. My goal is to help alleviate some of that uncertainty.  My name is Gabrielle Murry, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps kids, teens, families, and adults with many areas of their life. My professional background covers a variety of experiences, including work with grief, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anger management, trauma, stress, self-esteem, school-based counseling, and school adjustments.

PHILOSOPHY 

My desire is to hold space for you to process thoughts, emotions, and whatever it is that you bring to therapy. I believe every person has deep, inherent dignity and worth. The weight and chaos of our life experiences can sometimes erase our realization of that worth and detract us from living our fullest life. I want to provide you with that place in which you can start to make sense of the chaos and begin to heal. You are the author of your story. I am here to bear witness and provide support. I hold hope for you, as we begin this journey together, that you can set, begin, and achieve your goals. 

APPROACH 

I incorporate various treatment modalities in my work, as every individual benefits from a tailored approach. The main approaches I employ are person centered therapy, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as some motivational interviewing and dialectical behavioral therapy. 

WHAT TO EXPECT 

I tend to structure most of my therapy sessions with children around play therapy and child centered therapy. I also offer faith-based counseling for those Christian clients who would like to incorporate their personal faith into therapy.
